I use to make sure what ever oil i started with in a new car that that's the only brand that ever went in it. These days i'm not so pickey.
My diesel pu's and all my equipment gets 15w-40 Shell Rottella T (i buy it by the barrel), my car gets what ever 10w30 i see when i need some oil.
For me, i feel it's most important that it gets changed, and not that it gets the exact same brand all the time.
