Something I just found out about yesterday. I have used the Interstate Optima batteries for years. They are the AGM Type spiral wrap damp cell units. Have always given stellar service. Went through the Interstate site looking for something and stumbled across their newest battery. They call it flow through technology if I got it right. The lead plates are 99.99 present pure with the glass mat material slightly compressed. Fast transfer of power, more power to size ratio, and built like a brick rugged. I haven't seen one in real life yet but need to go have a look. Sure you have seen the round cell type but this new one is supposed to be even better. I am betting this would be the pinical in lead acid for cars as where lithium is the next higher peak. The new type shows a cut away. You can see there is no waisted space.
