Don't know much about JD 4430 or Oliver but between the AC 7040 and the IH 1066 I would pick the 7040. Dad had a 1066 and in the course of about six years put in a clutch, TA, and rebuilt the rear end. Oh, and had to put alot of parts into front axle. This tractor had less than 3,000 hours on it. Then he traded for a 7040 with about 1,500 hours and now has over 6,000 hours and no major problems. The dealer did say to change the coolant every other year to keep the engine in good shape and use an additive along with water filter change every year.
