I never had a plan. The only one was get out of school and never return. After Dad stopped farming I got a job in a small factory, then a bigger one then one much bigger. I was real good at repairing things, so I retired as a machinery repair man after 36 years. I don't think kids in school can say I am going to be a what ever, and do that the rest of their life. Maybe a few. The best thing I did when I was working was put a little money away every week, and the company matched some. after 36 years it mounts up. Here I am at 76. Would I do things different, probably not. Stan

Today's Featured Article - Show Coverage: Argyle and Mt. Pleasant Labor Day Weekend Shows - by Cindy Ladage. The last fling before summer fades into fall and we get busy in the fields are the annual Labor Day tractor shows. Beginning on September 5th and running through the 7th, the Argyle Antique Gas and Engine Show is held at the Argyle State Park. Located in West Central Illinois, the pine forest was the setting for the opening of the 22nd show.
