i've seen a couple of his videos.. mostly for entertainment than information. he does make some good points. you have no idea what the guys at some of the quickly lube places are putting in your engine. ya its probably oil.
again... for the millionth time. the API rating is a MINIMUM. there are better oils. they can add extra additives to improve wear, improve/resist breakdown, ect ect above and beyond the API minimum specs.
not saying its a good oil probably 'ok" but i doubt if its a premium oil by any means. those other additives cost $ and therefore the better oils do too. I use straight synthetics anyway and won't be buying oil from aamazooon regardless.
