They would work fine for that as long as you use a hyd. top link as others have said. Just a thought, hooking a set of forks to a high lift bale mover would really let you lift them higher for stacking. They would fit right on the lift where the bale spear attachment normally is attached. (it mounts the same as any 3 point attachment as the back half of the high lift) I know that is clear as mud to someone who hasn't seen or used one, but I have one I bought at an auction and have not used it for that, but seems to me it would work great.
