When the 3 Colby Plowboy's (Plow Boy) were manufactured by Jones the plan was to market the tractor but like so many inventions it hit at a time when there was a recession and the rights were sold to Buffalo Pitt. At that time Buffalo Pitt was dabbling in tractors. Most famous for machine tools it would take someone inside the company which still exists, to see if anything can be found on the acquisition. Hopefully in some dark file warehouse the specs and plans of the Plowboy might be uncovered. I have had no reply from Buffalo Pitt in my inquiries for the book. I have not searched for a patent but like the OMC if the only patented part is something not off the shelf it may be that the tractor did not have any patent. I don't remember if the engine is named but many of the Kansas built tractors used the Erd engine. I don't believe the Plowboy did. Lot of digging ahead. Hope the other parts are found so at least one is resurrected.
