I put on a tractor rodeo here at the Southern Indiana antique and machinery club aka SIAM. We have a anitque tractor drag race along with about 10 other events. The drag race is run like this. We only race one tractor at a time. There is a starting line and a finish line normally 200 feet apart. We have a spotter at the starting line that lines up the tractor and then checks to see if the driver is ready. Once the driver is ready the spotter points at the finish line judge to let him know its a go. The fish line judge has a green flag and a stop watch. He waves the flag and puches the watch and here comes the tractor. At the finish line the judge puches the stop watch when the tractor crosses. Fastest time wins. I am not sure what the fastest time is but im guesing right at 7 seconds at a speed of around 45 mph. I would like to know where you read about the tractor drag racing so that I could see it also. You might want to check out my web site.
