The Deutz 7085 must be built after 1985, cause Deutz takes over Allis-Chalmers in that year, right? Than You can buy it. The first new tractors of the DX series, built since 1978, had problems with the gearbox, especially the DX 85 and DX 90 with the 5cyl. engine. But after 1983 they eleminated this problems. We had 2 Deutz-tractors and had been very satisfied with them, in our village the most farmers had Deutz tractors, but now there's no authorized Deutz-dealer here, and they changed to Ford, John-Deere or Case-IH.
