I'm not sure if there's a different law for farmer's, but a big rig may require a CDL unless you have that now. I see nice big rigs selling for less than newer straight trucks. Maybe they're worn out tho, yet they still look good. Those big trailers seem to go high even after hard use, so must be popular item. Isn't there some fellas that "hire-out" for hauling? Seems that may be alternative for this once a year need. May cost some at time of service, but you wouldn't need the license expense, fuel, and maintainance problems under your belt then. Keep your truck for the seed buying and small jobs at planting time or other general uses.
