Here in New Hampshire there is no general sales tax. We also have no income tax. Are we the only state with neither? We're surrounded by states with both and I don't think they're any better off than we are---in fact, the opposite is true, in my opinion. My property taxes on 7 acres with a 3 bedroom ranch run around $1500/year. Last time I was in Canada, the sales taxes were wicked. 14% on everything, including even postage!!!
