I was working in a TV repair shop in late 63 while going to college fresh out of the Navy and one repairman wore crepe soled shoes. He would walk up to a TV and lay his hand on one of those round picture tubes while it was playing then walk over and tap you on the shoulder. Got your attention for a moment.
I was working there when it came out that Kennedy was shot in Dallas. Also there that summer when a tornado came down about 5 miles west of the shop, watched it until it lifted as it was getting into Sheppard AFB northeast of us. Bunches of B-52s in front of it and they were not touched.
