Just had the same exact thing on my 2014. Unfortunately, I was at the cutoff serial number for the recall and only 450 and 550s were covered for that model year. He told me to keep my receipt because if Ford revises the coverage again they'll reimburse me as long as I have the receipt. It was around $900. If it happens to another one of our trucks I'm going to fix it myself. Looked it up and it's not a terrible job.
Only other trouble in 70,000 miles is it let me sitting a few times. Wouldn't start, wouldnt even crank. I finally figured out that when I popped the parking brake, it jostled a wiring harness that was attached to the parking brake mechanism. Computer freaked out and wouldnt enter start sequence. I cut the wire tie there and it's been fine ever since.
