What a great thread! Thanks. Reading most replies reminds me how much I like the people here and their no nonsense rationality. My thoughts: - There are 7 billion people on the earth, that has it's consequences, but I also dont see this changing the climate. - Good FIRST HAND data from weather is only 100 or so years old... if that. The planet is billions of years old. Who can do the math of 100/1,000,000,000 ya thats a really tiny number suggesting the 100 years of scientist data or predictions is VERY far from accurate. Any thing they suggest should be followed by that calculation above to validate their opinion. - As many said the planet is coming out of a cycle, there is changes, always will be. YES this will affect the 7 billion people, example: higher water levels = less usable land. Nothing we could do to change that except prepare to live in different areas or adapt the living conditions. - Fossil fuel, there is plenty. Batteries are doing very well and will offset the fuel usage even up to 50-50 (50 battery powered, 50 fuel powered) in near future, that will ease supply issues considerably. - Batteries contain nasty chemicals worse than CO2 etc.. so no win in the pollution talk.

In this segment we will finish up on our fasteners and then work with ways to keep them from loosening up in the field. Capscrews, bolts and nuts are not the only means of holding two parts together. When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and
