I use a 3 pt. box blade on my 2WD Oliver 1650 to push snow. I use the loader to put it where I want it. No need for chains, just good sharp rear tires. My tractor weighs about 10,000 lb. with CaCl filled 18.4X34 tires so your results may vary.
