James, Blue flashing lights are illegal on any vehicle in the UK that is not fire, police or ambulance related. Orange flashing lights are mandatory on all farm machinery/slow moving machines etc. trvelling on dual carriage ways and optional on all other roads. They must be mounted at least 6' high on all machines. regards Brian
