Until you find the seat of your dreams, the next time you go to town stop at an upholstery shop or larger sewing store and pick up a piece of 2" thick urethane cushion foam. It comes in densities from soft to very firm. Firmer is better for larger folk. If you have to leave the tractor out in the rain, as long as you remember to take the foam with you, you'll have a nice soft and dry seat next time.
