Does your diagram say "power supply,protection & engine starting subsystem "(12+24) volts??? With A-5-9 beneath it??
Diagram P/N 904051A covers thru 90 1990 400/420
Diagram P/N 904051B covers 1991 and up 400/420
If I remember right you may have a 420A and that may be but am not at all sure they went from 2 6volt batt. in series to 2 12 volt in parallel except maybe when cranking they used 24 volts.This is only a guess. Good luck!
