I would look for an IH 806, 826 or 856. We have a Massey 285 which is a low profile 1085 and when it runs it's not an overly impressive tractor. At least around here Massey parts are very expensive and Masseys are a pain to work on. Our IH 706 LP gas is more of a tractor than the 285 although is should be 10hp smaller. Stay away from a John Deere, their decent tractors but for the money you can buy a bigger newer tractor of another color.
