one of the best things about the Deere forum is the ideas and posts, makes me go look up stuff and see. Plus it doesnt seem like everybody is as mad as they are on the Tractortalk and tales HAHAH!
When i was growing up we had a 5010 standard, loved that ol beast. I now have a couple 5020 row crops, so i was basing my thought process on when i was 15.
That said, i looked and lo and behold the 5020 is a more of a tractor than i expected, according to Nebraska Tractor Test #1025.
what i also learned was that the 1466 went through a change midway through production, the early test was #1080, the second test was #1125.
my buddy is a dyed in the wool red guy and he has a 1466 cabbed tractor, pretty nice machine, but hes never mentioned that it got a horsepower bump mid way through. Im gonna have to ask him about that tonight.
This has been an interesting thread, sure have enjoyed it!
