I took a small load of scrap to the yard one day. I weighed in. The guy told me over the speaker to unload over there behind me. So, in an effort to be efficient, I started to back off the scale to the unloader. About that time the guy came running out of the office and said I had to pull through the scale and go around. I said OK, not a problem, but how come? They have some kind of detector for radioactive stuff and all loads must pass by it. I asked who has stuff like that. He said the oil patch tries to slip stuff by and sometimes the hospitals will accidently have some too. Interesting thing learned that day.
