I should have mentioned that we were hesston dealers back whe Hesston was making Case haying equipment and when Hesston started marketing Fiat tractors and crawlers we jumped on board and the Hesston/Fiat tractors were very innovative as far as performance and operator conveniences. I have always felt that the European tractor manufactures were well ahead of North American Technology and still are. North American technology went for BIG. The Europeans designed tractors with advanced transmissions and hydraulics, plus incorporating 4wd early on, and front 3pt hitch and PTO systems to make their tractors more productive without monstrous engines and size.
