If you not concerned about "originallity" you can hook up just about any 12 volt coil. The coil went bad in my 14 horse Kohler 2 weeks ago. It started backfiring, it oil leaked out of the coil. So I had the coil off of my Dad's 68' Ford torino laying there, hooked it up and it works great.
