When Oliver discontinued the 990,they sold the dies and patterns to CBT is my understanding. At that point the tractors were pretty much the same,but they used a different engine,a Perkins if memory serves me right. I guess later on there was some more dealing on patents and designs,but there never was any real connection other than that. There was an article about it in Oliver Heritage of Hart Parr Oliver Collector several years ago,but I'd have to find it and re read it to make any definite statements about the whole deal.
