It is possible that Lauson is the name of the engine. Where is the name plate, on the engine or on the frame? If it is on the engine, that is the case. The Wisconsin based Lauson Engine Company was bought up by Tecumseh in the 1950's. I remember working on some lausons in the 1960's. Is it possible your engine is that old?
