I was born in 1947. I grew up on a dairy and cotton farm. Everybody worked hard and got along back then. Never heard of any crime around here back then. I never thought about whether we were poor or not, but we always had plenty to eat and everything we needed. Not always what we may have wanted but we were content with it. Mama cooked meat from the farm and vegetables from the garden and also canned a lot back then.I think those days were the best of my life so far.
