I presently use the nylon electric fence wire, personally I like it better, it hasn't rusted at all (it's about 5-10 years old now) it's easy to work with, you just knot it at the joints, and it is easier to see. the only down side that I found is that it stretches over time and you have to take the slack out of it (usually in the winter after an ice storm) Never used the tape before, seen it used but only for visibility and not electric use.
