Finished 8th grade in May, went to work for neighboring farmer the next day. Changed irrigation pipes, put up hay, handled cattle, pretty much everything. Drove a '49 Chev pickup back and forth to work and from field to field. I could drive on gravel roads only (no cops- they didn't like the dust).
I remember the song very well, but I thought it was at a faster tempo than that. Maybe a different version? Dunno.
