A couple of summers ago a heavy haul Co. out of Texas was hauling turbines from the GE plant to our east in Schenectady NY., to PA. The rigs were very similar to that one with multiple pull and push trucks. US Rt 20 here in my neck of the woods, central NY has much steeper hills than that. I have forgotten the gross tonnage of the entire rig, but they also had bucket trucks to handle wires and stop lights, and full state police escorts. The rig took up the full width of the roads 2 way, driving lanes. At the speed they were moving the only thing that would have stopped them on hills was traction, but they had a couple extra heavily weighted pull/push trucks in case more traction was needed. Loren
