As many of you predicted, my intake manifold gasket was leaking and coolant got into all four plugs on the right side. I got the manifold off this morning and of coutse acorns and trash under it. Question 1: What is the bolt and wire for? Ground to the block? Question 2: There looks to be a little erosion around the coolant port on the head. Should I add some silicone sealer there? Question 3: The lower manifold has some engine oil pooling in the bottom, not much but I'm wondering how it could get there. It doesn't smell of gas. Only thing I could think of is that it came from the PCV. None in the upper manifold, only the plastic lower half. Question 4: The plastic cover on the lower is in several pieces. Is it really necessary or can I leave it off?
