Want to clear the air, I have been doing research for an engine block for my friend 4020 diesel. If you go to jd parts and look at the early model engine block on parts list it give you all the casting numbers for the Diesel engines his is r40890 however jd showed on their website that they offer a reman engine but the casting number is R40930 if I look that block up it doesn�t have weep holes and looks like a newer style block. If jd parts schematic shows that it will sub over will that block fit. Maybe jd had an updated block from mother Deere to correct their flaws idk. Wanted to ask cause of that the case my friend has the money to go get one.
