The Old Threshers Reunion (Mt. Pleasant, IA) always takes place the week of (ending on the Sunday before) Labor Day. It's about 25 miles SW of my home. E-mail me for more info. I can probably get you in touch with the organizers if need be.

For several years I had been driving by a farm house on the west side of Indianapolis that had a John Deere combine parked in high weeds in a lot behind the house.
