Looking for a Cub Electrics Whiz-need some cyber help!

Hello everyone,
I have a 1949 cub that I am lovingly restoring. I think I have her ready to start, but theres a problem. The magneto doesn't put out a spark.
If there is anyone out there that really knows how a magneto works, I would really appreciate picking your brain a little, if you will allow me to do so.
