Spark Plugs Wisconsin VH4D

I am wondering what the actual recommended spark plug would be for a wisconsin V-4 model VH4D in an IH Skid steer. I am currently running UD16's gapped at .025 and they soot up after a hour of running. Just making sure it is a not spark plug problem.
