Rod; We never will get rich off these old tractors. Also,I thought I was the only one who ever got stuck with cracked heads or flat crankshafts on a tractor I bought. If you find the right engine it might fit right in. As the posts say tho,rpms might be a problem. I was told one time that an engine out of a small Buick would be a good replacement for my Cockshutt 30 and would fit without much trouble. I would say go for it if you use the tractor much. Any parts tractors around? But they would probably have a bad engine also. Good luck stevie
