The industrial engines were the same as the ag engines for a given year. However, there was a compression increase, along with using larger carburetors at a certain point. That may account for the increase in power you noticed. Another possibility would be that you got a 192 c.i. replacement engine, rather than a 172 c.i. The whole series, 134, 172, and 192 c.i., all used the same stroke, same crankshaft.
