99% of the time you don't even know it's there. The only habit you have to "re-learn" is not taking off hard from a stop while turning. If you do, the locker disengages instantly transferring all the torque to the inside wheel. This causes that tire to squeal. The only other important point is that you have to have the same size tires on the rear with the same air pressure in each. If you let the air pressure get way different, the difference in apparent tire diameter will cause the locker to constantly disengage and then re-engage causing the truck will wander while you are trying to go in a straight line. Where you will notice the difference is off-road. I regularly run logging roads that are nothing more than bulldozer scrapes in sand and mud here and often find myself miles down the trail before I realize I'm not in 4WD!
