Last year the clutch in my FD 3000 froze up. A friend freed it up by pulling the tractor with a truck and the clutch broke loose. Since I rarely use the tractor, last year I thought I'd be smart and with rope I tied the clutch petal in the down position, figuring the clutch plates wouldn't be touching and therefore wouldn't freeze up. However, guess what, it froze up again, and the clutch petal is loose - like the clutch springs aren't engaging. Any suggestions other than pulling it again? (as well as future preventative measures other than using it more?(:>)
