The mfg are shying against HP ratings, probably because of litigation for making false claims. They are going more for torque ratings, as if that will keep them more honest...
If you are considering replacing the engine, be sure to check the mounting rabbit and the crank shaft dimensions. Generator engines have a different block and crank than standard engines.
