What engine? Is it the Continental four cylinder or the Perkins AG3.152? Be aware if Continental there's the Z134 and Z145 and those distributors will NOT interchange as there's nine teeth on the early Z134, and ten teeth on the Z145 distributor. Perkins gas in for repairs at the MF dealer I worked for all had Delco distributors with the two screw cap. Early Delco distributors all had two spring clips holding the cap. My guess is you have the Perkins..
