Other than the boys and I we do not see many hunters around here but we get our fair share of shooting done.

Whitetail season goes until Sunday at home here.

We went out back on Saturday morning only saw a dozen or so deer, on a good year we often count 30-40 of them before 10:00 am.

Plenty of mule deer and some moose and elk at our place but all are by draw only, an hour north there are a few late seasons still open for them.

Lots of coyote a few wolves and bears plus the occasional cougar out back.

Prairie chicken, grouse and rabbit numbers have been down lately, lots of ducks and geese to be had in season.

Beaver, porcupine, badger, raccoon, weasel, crows, ravens, magpies all show up every now and then.

Usually plenty of gopher's in the summer so we make good use of the reloading bench.
