Just to add a bit to your thread there: Last years tree marked the 100th year of the event, that the Halifax Fire Dept responded the report of the shipboard fire at the " Narrows" and were killed during the blast. The present day Halifax Fire Dept has a Pipes and Drums Band that played at the lighting of the tree in Boston, marking the dept's loss at the time and the event. I admit it was a "proud" time to see a certain young lady with her bagpipes, as part of the Dept's Band. As i told her if the dog is howling...your playing them well..:) Keep your sticks on the ice.
