Yes, I'd sure be happy to have the old Heider sitting in the shed. Or even out in the woods. But in the late 1940s it was just an old tractor with a hole in the side of the engine. Post WWII my dad and uncle were going to farm with tractor power and resurrected the old Heider with a new fibre for the cone clutch. I guess they got a few hours out of it before a con rod broke and through the block. I don't know how they farmed the rest of the year but my dad was eventually able to find a DC4 Case and the Heider was sold to a guy who scrapped it right here in the yard.
