I grew up about 20 miles from Rock Island. Dad had a Heider auger wagon, think 100 bushel capacity grain cart for hauling hog feed. Think Heider moved to Carrol, Iowa by the time the auger wagons were made. Not real sure where exactly in Rock Island the Rock Island tractors were built. I worked for several years at a little company named International Harvester, Farmall Plant, just down the road west a mile or two was a J.I.Case plant, made 4 cylinder engines for tractor/loader/backhoes built down river in Burlington, Iowa. Lots of other places around town around 1920 they could have built tractors.
