Thanks for the kind comments on the video and pictures. That is my grandpa on the left, first world war army veteran. My uncle Don in centre with the cowboy hat. He always wore one. Uncle Roy on the left. They show up in the video several times.I think of tht music and video sometiems when I'm in or near the old house. It is hard to believe they got so many people into that tiny kitchen with a tape recorder around the wood stove and made all that music. The uncles sometimes played at country school dances. And in later years it became a yearly tradition they would bring their guitar , banjo, and sing the old songs on New Year's day. I have a few recordings of that but this audio from 1955 was made when I was only 2 years old. I might have already posted this harvest video of my uncle Don on the 95 John Deere. The background music is him playing harmonica and Uncle Roy on the guitar from that same 1955 recording. You will all know the tune I think.
