When I drove we pulled all box trailers. We use to haul bundles of lead ingots, coils of brass,copper , steel and other items and never chained anything down. We did put a pallet between coils to stretch our weight out in trailer. We also hauled large electric fork lifts and the only think that kept them from moving was a wooden chock nailed in front and back of wheel and a 2x4 nailed along side of wheel.
