Got a few hours this afternoon to play some more in the dirt, so tried a different field that was offered to me. This was black dirt. Plow would dig nice and deep but it was almost too wet and clung heavily to the shares. Plugged up about four times.
Shares gettin' cleaner every time now though. Seems like the frontmost share is the least shiny, adn the cover boards just like to plug up badly.
Also did some playing around with the mower edging the bean field now that the crops are out.
My coulters are able to swing back and forth quite a bit. The furthest back furrow one is set about 1" to the land side of the plow at maximum swing. The other two can go about 3" over. Should these be "swinging loose" or should they be tightened in place somehow?
