I went to get a new front tire put on at the local shop. F350 flat deck. Every one of the studs started to spin... something wierd there. Tire shop didn't have new studs and didn't want my truck stranded there so they carefully snugged them up.
I drove home and torched off the studs and nuts. Luckily my local fix it guy was just heading into town to pick up some parts. He said he would grab new studs on the way.... had to go to three places to get the right ones.
Anyway I lubed them up with never seize - threads and knurled shoulder edges. I used the impact and tapped the head with a hammer as they tightened up. All seated well. Not a hard job, but glad I had the impact. It's a snug fit.
Glad I got that tire changed before it blew. It would have been a tow job for sure on the side of the highway.
