There's not that much difference in a Ferguson and a Ford. They are cousins in design.
A couple things to be aware of...
No power steering. If it's going to get a lot of use, be ready to build some arm muscles! The steering and front end will be stressed.
No live hydraulics. Unless the loader is run off an engine driven pump, it will only work with the clutch engaged.
A tractor that old, realistically, unless it's been exceptionally well maintained be ready to do some work on it.
As for a bent distributor, about the only thing that could bend one, (short of being hit from the outside by accident), would be a gear failure. If the gear did fail, or the wrong gear/distributor was installed, good chance there will be damage to the cam gear. Not an easy fix.
The engine on the TO 20 is a Continental. It's overhead valve, which makes servicing the valves easier. Down side, those blocks have a history of cracking in the web between the center cylinders.
