I am not sure how big of an area you want to attach the rubber to. If it is solid flexible rubber super glue will do it, but make sure every thing is clean. Use isopropyl alcohol or lacquer thinner the clean the metal. I reread your post. I think you meant conveyor belting. I used to take solid rubber belts and joint them with super glue. I have also attached vacuum cleaner flat belts and attached them to around aluminum wheels to use as drive tires. The main thing is that it is fast. Use nitrile gloves.
I hope some day in the future YT will restore the editing function. It is not always easy to write and edit before submitting. I always make miss-steaks and don't catch dem till later.
